1 in stock
Mookaite is one of my favorite stones! I love to look at their beautiful reds and yellows!
Mookaite is a kind of jasper quartz formed from an ancient sea bed only found in Western Australia. It’s found in the Mooka (the Aboriginal word for running water) Creek area for which it is named. It’s formed from the billions of fossilized silica based skeletal remains of microscopic protozoa that used to live in a now long gone ancient sea.
Here I’ve made a 1.25″ diameter pendent from a yellow mookaite bead, copper craft wire, 11/0 and 6/0 MIYUKI Round Rocailles Beads.
